osine (3nzA, 1) exhibits dual fluorescence emission that arises from an intramolecular charge‐transfer state and a locally excited state, depending upon the molecular coplanarity. DNA probes containing 1 clearly discriminated a matched thymine base in the complementary strand of dsDNA with a distinct change in emission wavelength.
