  Herbicide antidote compounds having the formula: ##STR1## in which R is haloalkyl wherein halo is chlorine, bromine or iodine and the alkyl group has 1-4 carbon atoms, inclusive; R.sub.1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen; lower alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms, inclusive; alkenyl having 2-4 carbon atoms, inclusive; and phenyl; R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms, inclusive; R.sub.3 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms, inclusive; R.sub.4 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and a nitro group; and either R.sub.3 is hydrogen or R.sub.4 is hydrogen.
