  been identified from the autoxidation products of tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene. These are trimethylformamidine, dimethylformamide, methylformamide, trimethylurea, 2-dimethylamino-N,N′-dimethylacetamidine, hexamethyloxamidine, and 2-dimethylamino-2-oxo-trimethylacetamidine. Their origin is discussed in terms of known chemistry of tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene and its derivatives.
