Effect of nitrogen-position on the structures and magnetic properties of diazole-containing tripodal coordination compounds
摘要:
Two new coordination compounds {[Cu(L-1)]center dot(ClO4)center dot 2H(2)O} (1) and [Cu-2(L-2)(2)]center dot(ClO4)(2) (2) were synthesized with novel tripodal ligands N-1-(2-Amino-ethyl)-N-1-(1H-imidazol-2-ylmethyl)-ethane-1,2-diamine (HL1) and N-1-(2-Amino-ethyl)-N-1-(2H-pyrazol-3-ylmethyl)-ethane-1,2-diamine (HL2), respectively. Interestingly, coordination compound 1 exhibits one-dimensional (1D) zig-zag chain structure, coordination compound 2 displays dinuclear structure. The results showed that nitrogen-position of the ligands have distinct impact on the frameworks of the coordination compounds. In addition, the magnetic studies indicated that 1 and 2 exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions between the Cu(II) atoms. (C) Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
