    An Improved One-Pot Method for the Preparation of 2-Substituted 1H-Perimidines
    摘要:
    2-substituted H-1-perimidines are readily prepared, in high yields, by refluxing a mixture of sodium pyrosulfite, an aldehyde, and 1,8-diaminonaphthalene in aqueous ethanol or N,N-dimethylformamide. The method is of wide applicability except from araldehydes bearing a strong electron-withdrawing group (-CN, -NO2).

    A new sustainable catalytic reaction, the synthesis of 1H‐ perimidines from a dinitroarene and an aldehyde in the presence of H2, was achieved. An earth‐abundant metal catalyst was developed to permit the efficient, highly chemoselective, and consecutive hydrogenation of dinitroarenes. The catalyst was reusable and easy to handle.     A highly efficient protocol for acid-mediated peri-annulation of perimidines with pyrimidines was developed. Pyrimidines, used as surrogates for 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds allow for furnishing benzo[gh]perimidines, including hardly available analogs, non-substituted, or mono-substituted at C-6, C-8. Limitations of reactions employing 5-bromopyrimidines are investigated.
