    The present invention is a method for producing an N-substituted carbamic acid ester derived from an organic amine from an organic amine, a carbonic acid derivative and a hydroxy composition containing one or more types of hydroxy compounds, wherein the organic amine, the carbonic acid derivative and the hydroxy composition are reacted using a urethane production reaction vessel provided with a condenser, a gas containing the hydroxy composition, the compound having the carbonyl group derived from the carbonic acid derivative, and an ammonia formed as a by-product in the reaction, is introduced into the condenser provided in the urethane production reaction vessel, and the hydroxy composition and the compound having the carbonyl group derived from the carbonic acid derivative are condensed, and wherein a stoichiometric ratio of a hydroxy compound contained in the condensed hydroxy composition to the condensed compound having the carbonyl group derived from the carbonic acid derivative is 1 or more, and a ratio of number of carbonyl groups (—C(═O)—) contained in the compound having the carbonyl group derived from the carbonic acid derivative and number of ammonia molecules contained in the ammonia recovered as a gas from the condenser is 1 or less.

    Disclosed is a process for the preparation of metallic bottles which comprises lap-bonding circumferential open end portions of upper and lower members, each consisting of a formed cup of a metal, said process being characterized by using at least one thermoplastic resin adhesive having a water absorption of less than 2%, as measured at a temperature of 23°C and a relative humidity of 80%, and an elasticity contribution ratio [R(t)t=1] of from 1 x 10-4 to 5 x 10-1, defined by the following formula: wherein J(t)t=1 represents a creep compliance at a time constant of 1 second when the adhesive is caused to creep at a temperature higher by 30°C than the melting point of the adhesive under a shear stress of 50 to 5,000 dyne/cm2, and J(t)rec,t=1 represents an equilibrium recovery creep compliance when the adhesive is caused to creep under the same conditions as described above and the adhesive is then let to recover, and containing in the main or side chain groups at a concentration of 10 to 1400 milliequivalents per 100 g of the adhesive.

    A process for preparation of metal vessels by lap-bonding circumferential open end portions (3,4) of preformed outer and inner seamless metal cup members (2,1) to each other with an adhesive layer (11) interposed between the open end portions (3,4) of both the members (2,1), by heating the fitted portions (Sa) of both the outer and inner members (2,1) so as to melt the adhesive and by subsequent controlled cooling the fitted portions (5a) so that the temperatures of the fitted portions of both the outer and inner members are substantially equal to each other just before solidification of the adhesive.
