silanes. GeX bonds (X = Br, Cl, OR, H) are unreactive. Allylsilicon and allylgermanium bonds are broken under mild conditions and in high yields, leading to the corresponding fluorosilane or fluorogermane. With bifunctional silanes, it is always possible to obtain the difluorinated derivatives.
