Synthesis of fluoro-substituted atranes using MO2 oxides (M = Si, Ge, or Ti)

A new method for dissolving silicon, germanium, and titanium dioxides via the interaction with HF aEuro cent TEA (TEA stands for triethanolamine) yielding 1-fluorosilatrane, 1-fluorogermatrane, and 1-fluorotitanatrane, respectively, is proposed.
