s. The silicon-chlorine bond of 1-alkyl-3-chlorotetramethyldisiloxanes reacts with alkyllithiumreagents at higher temperatures (0°C). The invention related to novel compounds useful as modifying monomers and precursors for polymerization initiators. The invention further relates to a method of making the polymerization initiators and resulting polymers.
