Betti bases via a one-pot three-component reaction of 2-naphthol, substituted aldehydes and anilines in aqueous media is reported. Through screening different catalysts, reverse zinc oxide nanomicelles show good activity and high selectivity. The catalyst retained activity after six cycles of reuse and were recoverable.
