    Borylation of calix[4]resorcinols under ultrasonic irradiation
    摘要:
    The use of ultrasonic irradiation in the reactions of trialkyl borates with octahydroxytetraoctyl[l (4)] metacyclophane allowed us obtaining tetraalkoxyboratocavitands with higher yields and under milder conditions. We first obtained 1,3,2-dioxaborolane and 1,3,2-dioxaborinane derivatives of tetraoctyl[l (4)]metacyclophane using ultrasonic irradiation. Boratocavitands were converted into the corresponding amine complexes with isobutylamine.

    Abstract A method for the synthesis of novel phosphorylated aminoacetals was developed.     Reactions of calixarenes with methylaminoacetaldehyde dimethyl acetal and formalin gave Mannich bases with the calixarene platform. It was found by dielcometric titration that calix[4]resorcinols with acetal groups in the aminomethyl fragment form head-to-head supra-molecular aggregates in chloroform at low concentrations.

    A reaction of calix[4]resorcinols with 3-ethylamino-2,2-dimethylpropanal and aqueous formaldehyde results in new calix[4]resorcinol derivatives including aldehyde fragments aminomethylated at the higher rim of the molecule. Depending on the structure of calixarenes and experimental conditions, products of mono and tetra substitution can be obtained.

    The resorcinol-type calix[4]arenes with alkyl side chains, [4]Ar-Rn, were prepared and then investigated as flotation collectors of Cs+. Alkali metal ions (Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+) were extracted in the pH range of 9.5—12.5 with [4]Ar-Rn. Moreover, the surface-active [4]Ar-Rn had competence to float Cs+ as a complex in a foam film (adsorbates) when short-chain [4]Ar-Rn (n = 4—8) were used for foam fractionation, and as scum when long-chain [4]Ar-Rn (n = 8—16) were used for ion flotation. The Cs+ was floated selectively with [4]Ar-Rn from a mixture of Na+, K+, Rb+, and Cs+, due to the strong binding to Cs+.
