  (EN) A method for preparing a compound of formula (I), wherein A is a xanthine ring or a derivative thereof; B is a hydrocarbon group; C and D are identical or different hydrocarbon groups optionally including one or more hydroxyl groups; or a salt of said compound. According to the method, the xanthine ring or the derivative thereof is reacted with a molar excess of a substance X1 - B - X2 where X1 and X2 are electrophilic groups, in the presence of a molar excess of an amine of formula (II), and the resulting compound is optionally converted into its salt. Said reaction is performed at a temperature higher than 90 °C and at a pressure greater than 105 Pa.(FR) Procédé de préparation d'un composé de formule (I) dans laquelle A est un cycle Xanthine ou un dérivé d'un cycle Xanthine, B est un groupe hydrocarboné, C et D sont des groupes hydrocarbonés identiques ou différents, portant éventuellement un ou plusieurs groupes hydroxyle, ou d'un sel d'un tel composé, dans lequel on fait réagir le cycle Xanthine ou ledit dérivé avec un excès molaire d'une substance X1 - B - X2 avec X1 et X2 des groupes électrophiles en présence d'un excès molaire d'une amine de formule (II) dans lequel on convertit éventuellement le composé formé en un sel de celui-ci, caractérisé en ce qu'on effectue la réaction à une température supérieure à 90 °C et sous une pression supérieure à 105 Pa.
