A novel aerobic manganese-catalyzed oxophosphorylation reaction of carbon-carbon doublebonds of styrene derivatives and vinyl ethers using diethyl H-phosphonates was developed. This direct transformation of alkenes to β-ketophosphonate readily proceeded at room temperature via the direct incorporation of molecular oxygen present in air (open flask).
This invention relates to certain bicyclic compounds having a nucleus formed of two fused six membered rings, for example, isoquinoline, isoquinolone, tetrahydronaphthalene, dihydronaphthalene, or tetralone, substituted with both basic and acidic functionality, which are useful in inhibition of platelet aggregation.

The present invention relates to tetraline and indane derivatives of the formula (I)
or a physiologically tolerated salt thereof.
The invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising such tetraline and indane derivatives, and the use of such tetraline and indane derivatives for therapeutic purposes. The tetraline and indane derivatives are GlyT1 inhibitors.
Phosphorohydrazidates have been shown to work as radical precursors by iron-catalyzed aerobic oxidation to generate corresponding phosphonyl radicals. Generated radicals cause intermolecular addition to various alkenes in the presence of molecular oxygen to give beta-hydroxyphosphonate compounds in good yield. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd.
