  钯催化的2-碘代苯甲酰胺1–5与三甲基甲硅烷基乙炔6的反应以极好的收率产生了2-（2-三甲基甲硅烷基）乙炔基苯甲酰胺7–11。2-（2-三甲基甲硅烷基）乙炔基苯甲酰胺7-11在温和的条件下与酰氯12-17或酸酐18进行了Friedel-Crafts反应，生成了3-亚烷基异吲哚啉-1-酮19-38。

  N-Aryl(or, alkyl)-2-iodobenzamides underwent palladium-catalysed reaction with (trimethylsilyl)acetylene to form N-substituted-2-(trimethylsilyl)ethynyl benzamides, which on further Friedel-Crafts acylation and cyclisation yielded Z-3-alkylidene isoindolin-1-ones in a completely regio-and stereoselective manner.
