  (EN) This invention is therapeutically useful tetralins and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof of formula (I), wherein -YR1 is one substituent on the 5, 6, 7 or 8 position of the aromatic ring, and is -S(C1-C3) alkyl or OR1 wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of (C1-C8) alkyl, (C1-C8) alkenyl, -CH2-(C3-C8) cycloalkyl or benzyl; wherein R2 is hydrogen or (C1-C3) alkyl; wherein R3 is -CH2-(C3-C8) cycloalkyl; wherein R4 is hydrogen, (C3-C8) alkyl, -CH2-(C3-C4) cycloalkyl-(CH2)m-R5 or -CH2-CH2-X-(CH2)nCH3; wherein n is zero to 3 and m is 2 or 3; wherein X is oxygen or sulfur; and wherein R5 is phenyl; phenyl substituted with one or two substituent groups selected from chlorine, bromine, fluorine, (C1-C3) alkoxy or (C1-C3) alkyl; 2-thiophene; or 3-thiophene; with the proviso that when R3 contains more than four carbon atoms and R4 is alkyl said alkyl contains from one to 3 carbons atoms.(FR) On décrit des tétralines présentant une utilité pharmaceutique et des sels additifs acides acceptables du point de vue pharmaceutique de formule (I), où -YR1 est un substituant sur la position 5, 6, 7 ou 8 de l'anneau aromatique, et représente un alkyle -S(C1-C3) ou OR1 où R1 est choisi dans le groupe comportant un alkyle (C1-C8), un alkenyle (C1-C8), un cycloalkyle ou benzyle CH2-(C3-C8); où R2 représente un hydrogène ou un alkyle (C1-C3); où R3 est un cycloalkyle -CH2-(C3-C8); où R4 est un hydrogène, un alkyle (C1-C8); un cycloalkyle -CH2-(C3-C4), -(CH2)m-R5 ou -CH2-CH2-X-(CH2)nCH3; où n est compris entre 0 et 3 et m représente 2 ou 3; où X est un oxygène ou un élément soufre; et où R5 est un phényle; phényle substitué par un ou deux groupes substituants choisis parmi le chlore, le brome, le fluor, l'alkoxyle (C1-C3) ou l'alkyle (C1-C3); le thiophène -2; où le thiophène -3; à condition que lorsque R3 contient plus de quatre atomes de carbone et que R4 est un alkyle, ledit alkyle contienne de un à 3 atomes de carbone.
