Thermal properties and crystal structures of cobalt(III)–cyclam complexes with the bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)amide anion (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane)

To investigate the effect of this anion and alkyl substituents on the thermal properties of macrocyclic metal complexes, cobalt(III) cyclam complexes [Co(cyclam)Cl2][Tf2N] and its monoalkyl derivatives were prepared (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane). The corresponding hexafluorophosphate salts were also prepared and characterized. The salts with propyl and hexyl substituents melted at 171 °C
摘要双(三氟甲磺酰基)酰胺阴离子([Tf2N]-)经常被用作离子液体的成分。为了研究这种阴离子和烷基取代基对大环金属配合物的热性能的影响,制备了钴(III)Cyclam配合物[Co(cyclam)Cl2] [Tf2N]及其单烷基衍生物(Cyclam = 1,4,8, 11-四氮杂环十四烷)。还制备并表征了相应的六氟磷酸盐。具有丙基和己基取代基的盐分别在171°C和153°C熔化,而其他盐在220°C以上分解而不熔化。X射线晶体学揭示了涉及NH氢的分子间氢键的形成,这是高熔点的原因。
