  Cu2+ coordination by a tridentate phenanthroline-related derivative (P120) was examined and compared to phenanthroline. Results from X-ray analysis underlined significant increments in the N-Cu bond lengths in Cu(P120)(H2O)SO4 which are counterbalanced by a closer approach of the apical oxygen donors to the metal.   用DMF中的NaSH水合物，DMF中的Na 2 S九水合物或硫脲在回流的乙醇中处理2-氯-1,10-菲咯啉，可轻松获得1,10-菲咯啉-2（1 H）-硫酮。该硫酮与1,2-二溴乙烷反应，生成噻唑溴化物盐。用2-氯-1,10-菲咯啉加热二苯醚中的硫酮后，2,2'-硫代双-1,10-菲咯啉的盐酸盐沉淀出来，经碱水溶液处理可转化为相应的游离碱。杂芳基取代的硫化物可通过在DMF中用吡啶-2-硫酮处理2-氯-1,10-菲咯啉或用碳酸钾处理嘧啶-1-硫酮来制备。
