This invention is a material for coating the outermost layer of optical fiber lines having excellent ability to withstand external stress such as friction or bending with respect to other optical fiber lines or cable coatings, low adhesion between optical fiber lines, and excellent transparency. The composition includes the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D);
(A) 30-90 wt.% of total mass urethane (meth)acrylates having structures derived from polyols having aliphatic structures as well as structures derived from polyols having aromatic structures or alicyclic structures, and;
(B) 1-60 wt.% of total mass compounds other than urethane (meth)acrylate having ethylene unsaturated radicals, and;
(C) 0.1-10 wt.% of total mass polymerization initiator, and;
(D) 0.1-10 wt.% of total mass silicone compounds of number-average molecular weight 1000 to 30 000 g/mol.
