Regioselectivity of Pictet–Spengler cyclization: synthesis of halotetrahydroisoquinolines
摘要:
The regioselectivity of the Pictet-Spengler cyclization for the synthesis of isoquinolines depends on the aryl substituent at C-2. The ratio of halotetrahydroisoquinoline 4 to isoquinoline 3 increases with increasing electrophilicity of the aromatic ring (H much less than I < Br < Cl). (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. Discovery of Potent Inhibitors against P-Glycoprotein-Mediated Multidrug Resistance Aided by Late-Stage Functionalization of a 2-(4-(Pyridin-2-yl)phenoxy)pyridine Analogue
designed and synthesized to discover potential inhibitors against P-glycoprotein-mediatedmultidrugresistance aided by late-stage functionalization of a 2-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)phenoxy)pyridine analogue. A novel class of potent P-gp reversalagents were investigated, and a lead compound 37 was identified as a potent P-gp reversalagent with strong bioactivity and outstanding affinity for P-gp.

Herein we report an alternative eco-friendly method for the synthesis of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline sulfonamide derivatives. All obtained compounds were screened for their in vitro inhibition of albumin denaturation, antioxidant, antitryptic, and antibacterial activity and have shown significant results. The lipophilicity was established using both reversed-phase thin layer chromatography and in
