    摘要:
    The title compounds (5) were prepared by addition of 2-phenyl-1,3-dithiane anion (2-lithiated 10) to adequately substituted N-alkyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinolinium salts (7a-7g). Cleavage of compounds 5 with HgO/BF3 affords S-benzoyl-1,3-propanedithiol (4a) and the corresponding disulfide 4c, benzaldehyde, and Hg(I) ions. In contrast to the title compounds, 2-(alpha-dialkylaminobenzyl)-2-phenyl-1 ,3-dithianes (6) yield benzil under these conditions.

    Preformed iminium salts derived from aldehydes other than formaldehyde are demonstrated to be excellent reagents for the aminoalkylation of indoles, phenols and N,N-dimethylaniline. This method provides a simple and straightforward route to a variety of aromatic Mannich bases which are difficult to obtain by other procedures. Surprisingly, the reaction between N-methylindole or 2-naphthol with a preformed N-silyl iminium salt led to the formation of a bisindolylmethane or a dihydrooxazine derivative, respectively.

    A convenient one-pot procedure for the highly diastereoselective synthesis of 1,3-diamines 4 from inexpensive starting materials is described. Enamines 2 are aminoalkylated with preformed ternary iminium salts 1 yielding exclusively the quaternary iminium salts 3. In situ reduction of 3 with NaBH4/MeOH provides a broad access to the diastereomerically pure 1,3-diamines 4 in moderate to good yields.
