Synthesis and structure of a new heterocyclic system: pyrido[3′,2′:4,5]furo[3,2-d][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidin-7(8)-one

A series of derivatives of a new heterocyclic system, pyrido[3′,2′:4,5]furo[3,2-d][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidin-7(8)-one 5, was synthesized starting from the ethyl 1-aminofuro[2,3-b]pyridine-2-carboxylates 1. By alkylation with methyl iodide compounds 5 afforded 11(12)-methylpyrido[3′,2′:4,5]furo[3,2-d][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidin-7(8)-ones 6. The structure of the obtained compounds besides the
