The bis-oxime of acenaphthenequinone and the mono-oxime of benzil have been sulfonated by reaction with 4-methylbenzenesulfonyl chloride and propylsulfonyl chloride. The four sulfonated oximes were characterised by X-ray single-crystal structure determinations.
