(Dialkoxyphosphinyl)difluoromethylcopper, readily prepared from dialkyl bromodifluoromethylphosphonate, undergoes facile, stereospecific, syn addition to hexafluoro-2-butyne, to form the cis alkenylcopper reagent in good yield.
