  Novel compounds of formula (I) wherein R 1 represents hydrogen; R 2 represents hydroxy, fluoro or an oxo group; R 3 represents hydrogen; R 4 represents hydrogen; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates and the stereoisomers thereof, with the exception of the racemate of (3-amino-2-hydroxypropyl)sulphinic acid. The compounds are useful in therapy, especially for the treatment of reflux disease.
