본 발명의 키랄성 바이놀계 화합물의 합성 방법은, 2-나프톨의 3번 위치에는 수소 결합되어 있고 4번 위치에 알킬기, 시클로알킬기 및 아릴기 중 어느 하나가 치환체로 결합된 나프톨 유도체에, 산소 조건 하에서 산화 커플링 반응이 일어나도록 하여, 바이놀의 (R)-거울이성질체 및 (S)-거울이성질체 중 어느 하나를 합성하도록 제어하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 제어하는 단계에서 바이놀의 (R)-거울이성질체를 제조하기 위해서 일핵성 비대칭 바나듐 촉매를 이용하고, (S)-거울이성질체를 제조하기 위해서 이핵성 비대칭 바나듐 촉매를 이용하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
