AbstractPhosphate esters play important roles as biological active principles and synthons in chemistry. An efficient metal‐free approach for the synthesis of phosphate esters through sp3 CH activation is described. By using tetrabutylammonium iodide (Bu4NI) as a catalyst and tert‐butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as an oxidant, various toluene derivatives and phosphorus nucleophiles are tolerated in this transformation, affording the corresponding products in moderate to good yields.magnified image

Fibers for hair use in which the drawback of curling property is imparted without imparting features of human hair, such as flame resistance, heat resistance, touch feeling, and which are reduced in quality unevenness. The fibers are a bundle of fibers for hair use which comprises a mixture of 10 to 90 parts by weight of human hair (A) and 90 to 10 parts by weight of polyester fibers (B) having an LOI-value of at least 25, a thermal shrinkage ratio at 180° C. of at most 5%, and a single fiber fineness of 20 to 100 dtex, wherein the component (B) is polyester fibers formed from a composition obtained by melt-kneading a polyalkylene-ethylene terephthalate and a copolymer comprising polyalkylene-ethylene terephthalate as the main component (C) together with a phosphorus compound flame retardant (D) and/or a bromine compound flame retardant (E).

It is an object of the present invention to provide a polyester based artificial hair which has excellent setting properties, feeling and transparency and further has excellent flame-retardancy and controlled gloss of fiber surface while maintaining fiber properties possessed by a conventional polyester fiber such as heat resistance, strength and elongation and the like. The flame retardant polyester based artificial hair which has excellent setting properties, feeling and transparency and further has excellent flame-retardancy and controlled gloss of fiber surface while maintaining fiber properties possessed by a conventional polyester fiber such as heat resistance, strength and elongation and the like can be obtained by melt spinning a composition comprising a polyester, at least one bromine containing flame-retardant selected from the group consisting of a brominated epoxy based flame-retardant, a brominated phenoxy resin based flame-retardant and a brominated phosphate based flame-retardant and a phosphorus compound selected from an organic cyclic phosphorus compound and/or a phosphoric ester amide compound and optionally, the composition further comprises organic fine particles and/or inorganic fine particles.

Disclosed is a fiber for use as hair which has touch/shine like a hair, excellent curl-retaining property and flame retardancy. Also disclosed is a head-dressing product produced using the fiber. The fiber comprises (A) 90 to 10 parts by weight of polyester fiber and (B) 10 to 90 parts by weight of a reproduced collagen fiber containing an aluminum compound. Preferably, the aluminium compound is an aluminium salt and is contained in an amount of 8 to 20% by weight in terms of aluminium oxide. The polyester fiber may contain a flame retarder.
