Abstract Biotransformation products of digitoxigenin by cell suspension cultures of Strophanthus gratus were isolated and their structures established as 17βH-digitoxigenin, 3- epi -17βH-digitoxigenin, 17βH-acovenosigenin-A, 17βH-periplogenin, 3- epi -17βH-periplogenin and 3- epi -4β-hydroxy-17βH-digitoxigenin, respectively.
