A new type of chiral resorc[4]arene is described. The formation of both enantiomers of 4 is controlled by the α-aminoalcohols 3 used in the Mannich reaction. Although 1,3-oxazine rings could be formed analogously to the condensation reaction with amines only the formation of 1,3-oxazolidine derivatives is observed.
