    The present invention provides a colorless, transparent polyimide composite film containing a polyimide (A) having a specific repeating unit, and an organic-treated layered silicate (B) obtained through treatment with an organic onium ion having a specific structure such that the organic-treated layered silicate (B) is dispersed in the polyimide (A); and as well a method for producing a colorless, transparent polyimide composite film, the method including forming a film-form mixture through extrusion or application, onto a support, of a three-component liquid mixture containing the polyimide (A), the organic-treated layered silicate (B), and an organic solvent (C) having a specific SP value; and subsequently removing the organic solvent (C) from the film-form mixture. The polyimide composite film of the present invention is a colorless, transparent film containing the polyimide (A) and the organic-treated layered silicate (B) which is very uniformly dispersed in the polyimide, exhibiting excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties, and exhibiting flexibility.

    A detergent compatible granular fabric softening composition, comprising a water soluble quaternary ammonium compound, a clay having an ion exchange capacity of at least 50 meq./100g and one or more amides, imides and urea derivatives according to four specifically defined formulae. A preferred group of amides to be applied are those according to the formula wherein R₁ represents a C₁-C₂₂ alkyl group and wherein R₂ and R₃, independently, represent hydrogen, C₁-C₂₂ alkyl, -(C₂H₄O)xH or -(C₃H₆O)xH wherein x has a value of 1 to 25, with the provisos that the sum of the carbon atoms of two radicals of R₁, R₂ and R₃ is at least 16 and R₂ and R₃ are not at the same time hydrogen. More preferred are N-stearylstearamide or N-oleylpalmitamide. Additionally the invention relates to detergent compositions comprising these softening compositions.

    An inorganic composition comprises an inorganic matrix, wherein an inorganic layered compound is contained in the inorganic matrix. The inorganic matrix is preferably a metal oxide glass produced by a sol-gel method, and the inorganic layered compound is preferably swelling synthetic mica. A method of producing a film includes the steps of: hydrolyzing, dehydrating, and condensing an organic metal compound to obtain a reaction product; adding and dispersing the inorganic layered compound in the reaction product; coating the reaction product containing the inorganic layered compound on a substrate surface; and heating the substrate surface coated with the reaction product at a temperature of not more than 200°C to vitrify the reaction product.

    Provided is a granular agrochemical composition by which the problems accompanying the prior art granular agrochemical compositions can be overcome, which can be prepared in a simple formulation and by which sustained releasability of the agrochemically active ingredient is obtained so that the load on the environments can be decreased and the chemical damages caused by the agrochemically active ingredient can be alleviated or prevented. The granular agrochemical composition contains an acidic agrochemically active ingredient, a cationic surfactant and a basic substance. Inter alia, a pH of 5 or higher is obtained in a 1% by mass aqueous suspension thereof. Preferably, the acidic agrochemically active ingredient should have a pKa of 2 to 7 and the cationic surfactant should be one which is gelled or exhibits swellability in water.
