  Disclosed is a uniform, colored composition of monomeric polyol(allyl carbonate), a viscosity increasing polymer, and dispersed colorant. Also disclosed is a uniform, colored polymerizate of the composition and a method of preparing the uniform, colored polymerizate. In a preferred exemplification the polymerizate is neutral density gray, and the colorant is carbon black.
