Oxygen-manganese porphyrinate-sodium borohydride system for oxidizing aromatic hydrocarbons
摘要:
In the presence of sodium borohydride as reducing agent, porphyrin complexes of manganese catalyze the oxidation of 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene by molecular oxygen, resulting in a mixture of polyoxidized tetralin derivatives, among which products containing 1,3-diol, epoxyalcoholic, and beta-hydroxyketonic groupings predominate. The nature of the components of the oxidizing system has a substantial influence on the ratio of products and the rate of oxidation.
