A novel cooperatively catalyzed C(sp3)–C(sp2) bond C–Hactivation cross-coupling reaction has been developed. A series of 9-aryl-9H-xanthenes and 9,9-diaryl-xanthenes were selectivelysynthesized in moderate to good yields by controlling the reaction time and temperature.

Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>‐coated BiVO<sub>4</sub> Photoanodes for Photoelectrocatalytic Regioselective C−H Activation of Aromatic Amines
A novel approach for the regioselectiveactivation of aromatic amines C−H bonds is reported using a BiVO4 photoanode coated with an ultrathin Al2O3 protective layer, overcoming the problems of low reactivity and poor stability in photoelectrocatalytic organic synthesis.
