The synthesis of organometal complexes from chromium hexacarbonyl with 1-methyl-naphthalene ligand is reported. Two arene-chromium-tricarbonyl isomers are formed at competitive yields, featured with the metal fragment coordinated to both the methylated and the benzenic aromatic ring.
