A visible-light-induced dioxygenation of β,γ-unsaturated oximes for the synthesis of diverse useful isoxazolines bearing a hydroxyl moiety was developed by employing graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) as a heterogeneous photocatalyst under an air atmosphere.
