series of azacalix[n]arenes were synthesized by the reaction between the benzoxazine derivatives of phenols and the phenol oligomers. The reaction should be carried out at 40–80 °C, because scrambling of the phenol units occurs at higher temperatures. The appropriate reaction conditions afforded the desired azacalixarene which was asymmetrical along the N···N′ or N···CH2 axis.
