    4-(Q-O)-4'-R.sub.1 -N,N'-alkylenebis(benzamides), N,N'-alkylenebis(3,4-methylenedioxybenzamides) or N,N'-alkylenebis[4-(lower-alkoxy)benzamides], having endocrinological properties, where Q is lower-alkyl, lower-alkoxyalkyl, lower-alkenyl, halo-lower-alkyl, halo-lower-alkenyl, lower-cycloalkyl, phenyl and BN-(lower-alkyl) where BN is di-(lower-alkyl)amino or a saturated N-heteromonocyclic radical having from five to seven ring atoms and alkylene has at least five carbon atoms between its two connecting linkages and R.sub.1 is Q-O-, hydrogen, lower-alkoxy, lower-alkyl, halo, benzyloxy, hydroxy, di-(lower-alkyl)amino, nitro, amino or trihalomethyl are prepared preferably by reacting the appropriate diamine or N-(aminoalkyl)-benzamide with two or one molar equivalents, respectively, of the appropriate benzoyl halide.

    An internal release agent includes at least one phosphodiester represented by the following general formula (1). In the formula, R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms, which is optionally substituted with at least one hydroxyl group, and R3 represents an alkylene group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms. A plurality of R3's may be the same as or different from each other. M represents a hydrogen atom, an ammonium ion, an alkali metal ion, or a monovalent/divalent alkali earth metal ion, and n is an integer of 1 to 60.

    A polymerizable composition according to the present invention is characterized by that it comprises a compound (a) having at least one structure represented by the following formula (1): wherein R1 is a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R2, R3 and R4 each independently represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom; X stands for an S or O atom and the average number of S atom is at least 50% based on the total number of S and O atoms which consist of the three membered ring; and X' is -S- or -O-, at least two compounds (b) having a tertiary amino group substituted with aliphatic and/or aromatic group(s), which are each different in catalytic activity as a polymerization catalyst, with the proviso that the ratio of the total of the tertiary amino groups in the at least two compounds (b) to the episulfide groups in compound (a) is in the range of 0.0001 to 0.02 in terms of a molar ratio of amino/episulfide functional group.

    A polymerizable composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, in which the composition is capable of meeting requirements of overcoming decrease in production yield of a resin composed of a thioepoxy compound, the decrease being caused by variations in refractive index, hue, and optical strain. In a polymerizable composition containing a compound having at least one structure represented by the above formula (where R1 represents a hydrocarbon having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R2, R3, and R4 each represent a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom.), the total of a thioepoxy compound A, which has at least one structure represented by formula (2) and at least one structure represented by formula (3), and a thioepoxy compound B, which has at least one structure represented by formula (4) and at least one structure represented by formula (3), is 4 mass percent or less with respect to the total mass of the polymerizable composition. A polymerizable composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, in which the composition is capable of meeting requirements of overcoming decrease in production yield of a resin composed of a thioepoxy compound, the decrease being caused by variations in refractive index, hue, and optical strain.
