[(p-cymene)RuCl2]2 or [Cp★IrCl2]2 with the amide of 2-hydroxyiminopropionic acid and with N-(2-hydroxyiminopropionyl)amino acids gave the following chiral (N,O)- or (N,N)-chelate complexes: (3) (6) (9) (R = H, CH2Ph). The oxime of pyruvoyl methionine forms a (N,N,S)-trischelate complex 10. Complex 5a can be deprotonated in the presence of donors to yield the compounds (7, L = PEt3, PPh3, py). The structures
