(eta(5)-trimethylsiloxytetramethylcyclopentadienyl)- and (eta(5)-2- trimethylsiloxyindenyl)trichloro titanium have been synthesized and characterized. Their catalytic behavior for the polymerization of styrene was studied in the presence of methylaluminoxane (MAO) as a cocatalyst. They show only low activity for styrene polymerization.
