  (EN) A composition for dyeing keratinous fibres is characterized in that it includes, in a suitable dyeing medium, at least an oxidation dye precursor of the ortho and/or para type, and at least one coupler of formula (I) in which R is hydrogen, C1-C4 lower alkyl, C1-C6 monohydroxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl, or alkylcarbonyl where the alkyl groups have one to four carbon atoms, or their acid addition salts.
