  Stepwise complexation: A green copper‐based metallo‐supramolecular polymer was successfully synthesized through complexation of CuII ions with new bis(1,10‐phenanthroline) ligands. The obtained polymer showed an excellent electrochromic color change from green to colorless upon electrochemical reduction of CuII to CuI.
