The solvolysis of N,N′-diphenyl-1,1,3,3,5,5-hexamethyl-1,3,5-trisila-2,4-diaza-6-oxacyclohexane (II) in methanol/water in the presence of an acetate buffer is a two-step, pseudo-first-order, process.
