Novel benzoazoles, benzoazines, benzothiazoles, benzothiazines and other related compounds possessing a 2,4-dihydroxyphenyl moiety were prepared. The compounds were obtained by the reaction of sulfinylbis[(2,4-dihydroxyphenyl)methanethione]s with the appropriate heterocyclic amines or hydrazines.
