  The title compound, [Ni(C15H32N4)][ZnCl4], has a tetradentate diamine-diimine ligand in a tetrahedrally twisted square-planar coordination to singlet ground-state nickel(II), with a mean Ni-N distance of 1.909 (3) Angstrom. The cation has approximate mirror symmetry, apart from the axially oriented C6 methyl substituent.
