The complexes [PdCl2(L-I)](2) (1), [PtCl2(L-I)](2) (2), [HgBr2(L-I)] (3), [PdCl2(L-2)](2) (6), [PtCl2(L-2)](2) (7) and [(PdCl2)(3)(L-2)(2)](8) have been synthesized and found to give characteristic 1 H and 13 C NMR spectra.
