    Abstract The synthesis and characterization of zinc complexes of the cis -cyclohexane triamine derived ligands C 6 H 9 (NH 2 ) 3 (L 1 ), C 6 H 9 (NHMe) 3 (L 2 ) and C 6 H 9 (NCHPh) 3 (L 3 ) are described. L 1 forms 1:1 complexes with ZnCl 2 , ZnBr 2 , ZnI 2 and Zn(OAc) 2 , and 2:1 complexes with Zn(ClO 4 ) 2 and Zn(CF 3 SO 3 ) 2 . For L 2 , no 2:1 complexes with zinc salts could be obtained, but 1:1

    The design, synthesis and evaluation of N,N',N"-tris(2-pyridylmethyl)-cis,cis-1,3,5,-triaminocyclohexane (tachpyr, 1) derivatives as novel anti-angiogenic agents were performed in an in vitro endothelial cell proliferation assay to assess their cytotoxicity and selectivity. The selective nature of the anti-angiogenic agents for human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUvec) was compared to a normal fibroblast cell line and a human Glioma cell line to evaluate these compounds. N,N',N"-tris(2-mercaptoethyl)-cis,cis-1,3,5-triaminocyclohexane trihydrochloride (3b) was superior to tachpyr in terms of selectivity of its inhibitory activity toward the proliferation of Huvec compared to the fibroblast and human Glioma cell lines.     The aqueous coordination chemistry of a newly synthesized tripodal amine-phenol ligand, cis,cis-1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxybenzyl)aminomethyl}cyclohexane (THAC) towards H+, Al3+, Ga3+ and In3+ ions have been investigated in aqueous medium of 0.1 M KCI ionic strength and 25 +/- 1 degrees C by potentiometric and spectrophotometric methods. Three protonation constants assigned to phenolic hydroxyl groups were determined and were used as input data to evaluate the formation constants of the metal complexes. The ligand formed various monomeric metal complex species MLH3, MLH2, MLH, ML and MLH-1 with Ga(III) and In(III); MLH3, ML and MLH-1 with Al(III). The calculated stability constants followed the order Ga(III)> In(III)>Al(III), and their pM values at physiological condition were found to be higher than the corresponding transferrin complexes.
