  The title compound, [Sn-2(C20H12)(2)(CH3)(4)], which is the first chiral tin-bridged cyclophane, was prepared from the reaction of racemic 2,2'-dilithio- 1,1'-binaphthyl and dimethyltin dichloride. The molecule has approximate local D-2 222 symmetry.
