derivatives (VII) and (VIII)upon treatment with stoichiometric amounts of SbF5 in SO2. Ring closure of CF3NHCF2CF2NCHF3 is achieved by catalytic amounts of SbF5, and (XV) and its hydrolysis products (XVI) were prepared in high yield. The Cl atom in (VII) has been substituted by OC6H5 and N(C2H5)2 groups. The crystal structure determination shows that (XVI) possesses a planar ring and nitrogen atoms
