Sulfonating agents such as trimethylsilyl chlorosulfonate and “dioxane, SO3”, react with silylalkynes (ΣCH2CCSiMe3) in which Σ is a functional group, to yield silylacetylene sulfonates (Σ = OMe, Cl), acetylenic sulfates (Σ = OH, OSiMe3) or SO3 nitrogen adduct (Σ = NR2). Allenoxysilanes Me3Si(Σ1)CCC(Σ2)OSiMe3 yield either allenic sulfate (Σ1 = Me3Si, Σ2 = t-Bu) or silyl ketonic sulfonate (Σ1 = n-Bu
