    Complexation of SnCl4 with benzaldehyde 2-R-benzoyl-(R-HBb) and 3-R-2-naphthoylhydrazones (R = H, OH): The structure of [SnCl4(2-OH-HBb)] · CH3CN

    The reactions of tin tetrachloride with benzaldehyde 2-R-benzoyl and 3-R-2-naphthoylhydra zones (R-HBb and R-HLb, respectively) in acetonitrile and methanol have been studied. For R = H, the reactions lead to isolation of HBb and HLb, and for R = OH, the reactions give the SnCl4(2-OH-HBb)] center dot CH3CN (I) and [SnCl4(3-OH-HLb)] center dot 2CH(3)CN] (II) complexes. Their composition and structure have been determined by conductometry and electronic and IR spectroscopy. In both complexes, the ligands are biden tately coordinated in the ketone form (O-(C=O), N-(CH=N). Thermolysis of I and II is accompanied by removal of hydrogen chloride and volatile tin-containing species. The molecular and crystal structure of I has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The coordination polyhedron of the tin atom {SnCl4ON} is a distorted octahedron; in the crystal, the complex molecules are linked by an O-H center dot center dot center dot N(CH3CN) hydrogen bond and form stacks through stacking interactions between the phenyl substituents.

    promising behaviour in scavenging free radicals that appeared obviously with the two complexes. Also, antitumor assay towards HCT-116 cell line reveals the effectiveness of the two complexes. Finally, the kinetic parameters for Zn (II) were evaluated by applying cyclic voltammetry technique in the absence/presence of ligand using a glassy carbon electrode.

    A rubber composition prepared by compounding 0.05 to 20 parts by weight of at least one selected from substituted hydrazide compounds represented by the following Formulas (I) to (IV) per 100 parts by weight of a rubber component comprising at least one rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and a pneumatic tire using the same: wherein A represents one selected from the group consisting of an aromatic group which may have a substituent, a hydantoin ring which may have a substituent, and a saturated or unsaturated linear hydrocarbon having 1 to 18 carbon atoms; Y represents hydrogen, an amino group, an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aromatic group, a pyridyl group or hydrazino group; and R1 to R11 each represent hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl group or an aromatic group.
