The invention also provides a method of amidification of a fluorocompound. The method involves mixing perfluoracid chloride of a general formula CnF2n+1COCI with a compound containing an amine group with a general structure R-NH2 under reaction conditions sufficient to obtain a product having a general formula CnF2n+1-CONH-R.

  Coatings are cured by simultaneous exposure to radiant energy and condensing inert perfluoro­chemical vapors. The invention also includes an apparatus for use in curing coatings having a vessel (10) with reservoir (5) filled with inert perfluorochemical liquid (4), heated by heater (2). Cooling coils (13) and (14), for condensing perfluorochemical vapors (6), are located in the inlet (11) and outlet (12) of the vessel (10). A coating (8) on a substrate (7) is carried through the vessel (10) on a continuously moving belt (15). The coating (8) is cured by vapors (6) and radiant energy from energy source (9) passing through windows (16).
